Litwińska Grapa hill

Czarna Góra, also known as Litwińska Grapa, is an incredible hill rising above Białka Tatrzańska on the other side of the Białka River, located in the village of Czarna Góra. On its summit, you will find a viewing inn, a shelter, a place to light a bonfire, a millennium cross, which was designed on the model of the cross on Giewont, and a small ski station, Grapa-ski. The absolute highlight is the breathtaking view from the top of Litwinka, which takes in the magnificent Tatra Mountains, Pieniny, Gorce, Beskid Żywiecki and Białka Tatrzańska. You can reach the mountain by an asphalt road from the village of Czarna Góra.

Bór na Czerwonem peat bog reserve and the airfield in Nowy Targ

Bór na Czerwonem in Nowy Targ is a unique peat bog and one of the oldest nature reserves in Poland. It is also a popular and attractive destinantion for walks, loved by locals and nature lovers alike. There is an educational-nature path here, as well as wooden platforms that lead to a viewing platform where you can soak up the incredible panorama of the Tatra Mountains and the Gorce Mountains, as well as a peat bog surrounded by stretches of dwarf mountain pine.

The reserve is located next to the Nowy Targ Airfield, which is famous for its extraordinarily charming views of the mountains and for being the highest airport in Poland. Tourists visiting the area can take advantage of a wide range of incredible events organised by the Nowy Targ Air Club, especially in the summer season, or go on an unforgettable sightseeing flight, which, due to the location of the airport, will certainly provide an experience like no other.

Marketplace - Jarmark Nowa Targowica

The Jarmark in Nowy Targ is certainly a place worth visiting. It is one of the largest marketplaces in southern Poland and has a long tradition dating back to the Middle Ages. You can buy just about anything here: sheepskins, clothes, shoes, furniture, electrical appliances, food, fresh fruit and vegetables from local farms and, of course traditional products like oscypki and korbacz. The fair takes place on Thursdays and Saturdays, regardless of the weather.

Ice cream parlour Żarneccy is undoubtedly a must when visiting Podhale. The history of Nowy Targ ice cream dates back to the mid-20th century, and the secret recipe is a closely guarded family secret. Its popularity has not waned over the years and its unique taste is admired not only by locals, but also by travellers from all over Poland, who often travel many kilometres and wait patiently in line to taste the legendary ice cream by weight. The ice-cream parlour is located on the market square in Nowy Targ and is open from April to October.

Lake Czorsztyńskie and the Velo Czorsztyn cycling route.

This is a picturesque place with so many amazing attractions that the whole family will be thriller. There is so much to see and do. Take a scenic boat cruise on Lake Czorsztyński, explore the Castle in Niedzica, the Czorsztyn Water Dam in Niedzica, or head to Wdżar Mountain in Kluszkowce for some fun with a rope park and an educational path. Plus, there are great hiking trails starting right near the lake.

It is also worth mentioning the Velo Czorsztyn cycling route around Lake Czorsztyńskie, which spans an impressive 27 km. It is part of the Velo Dunajec trail, which goes further towards Sromowce Wyżne and Szczawnica, and on the other side to Nowy Targ and Zakopane. This route has become known as the most beautiful in Poland thanks to the breathtaking views of Lake Czorsztyński and the surrounding attractions that accompany you on your journey. It is possible to rent bicycles on site in one of the numerous rental outlets.

The Dunajec rafting trip in Sromowce Wyżne

Rafting down the Dunajec River is definitely one of the most picturesque and interesting experiences you can have, with stunning rock formations, scenic landscapes, mountains and steep cliffs. It is also an excellent opportunity to learn about the history and culture of the region, as the guides are eager to share their knowledge and tell interesting stories about the Dunajec River. The offer includes canoeing, rafting and rafting trips in the season from 1 April to 31 October.

The Spišská Kraina (Spiš Country) is a family amusement park that guarantees not only fun but also a great history lesson. Orava Ethnographic Park in Zubrzyca Górna

This is a place where you can see various examples of Orava buildings on a large area resembling a landscape park: shepherd's huts, a fire station, an inn, a bell tower, a mangle or a vicarage. Most of the buildings house themed exhibitions that present everyday life in the Orava region. Interestingly, the park was the setting for many famous films, including beloved Polish productions like: 'Janosik' and 'With Fire and Sword'. In addition to guided tours, educational workshops are organised in which the old cottages come to life and tell their stories.

Bachledka Treetop Trail

Treetop adventures await you at the border between the Pieniny and Tatra National Parks. The treetop path offers a 600m route that is sure to delight. As you follow the path, you will come across information boards packed with fascinating facts about the local wildlife, plants and forest life, as well as fun educational stops for children. And at the end of the trail, there is an incredible 32-metre-high tower offering unparalleled views of the Bielsko Tatry peaks and the Pieniny panorama. Plus, there are other amazing attractions for the whole family in the area of the path, such as playgrounds, a bobsleigh track and the Bachledka gondola railway.
